[back to top] What is plantar facitis, fallen arches? Plantar facitis is the inflamation of the muscle bunldle and nerve tissue that runs from the ball of the foot to the heel. The most common causes are overweight, or unusual high impact excersize such as running, basketball, tennis, etc. This causes great pain in many area of the foot including the heel, and arch. Most people who are suffering from plantar facitis are helped most by custom made arch supports that are both supportive and flexible. Off-the-shelf arch supports are usually inadequate.
